The government has no plans to introduce a secondary finance bill or mini budget, Simon Harris has said, as the incoming taoiseach faces pressure from within his own party to support struggling businesses.

The Fine Gael leader was speaking at this weekend’s ard fheis in Galway city where party members gathered to discuss further supports for businesses, employer PRSI, and splitting the Vat rate for the hospitality and retail sectors.
