Darragh McCarthy, founder and chief executive, Fintru: ‘I believe this is only going to be the first step for us in Ireland’

The Irish founder of a financial services company has said the announcement of 300 new jobs in Donegal is “just the first step”.

Last week, Fintru announced plans to create the jobs in Letterkenny over the next five years as it establishes a new European delivery centre in Ireland to service its European banking clients post-Brexit.

The new jobs will be across a wide array of roles, including in software engineering, compliance, legal and operations.
