Forty three people lost their lives in work-related incidents last year, with the farming and construction sectors accounting for more than two-thirds of deaths, new data shows.

According to figures from the Health and Safety Authority (HSA), there were 1.6 fatalities per 100,000 workers in Ireland, down from 2.8 per cent in 2014.
