Facebook receive planning approval for Irish data centre

The Co Meath facility, which has been approved by An Bord Pleanala, will be developed in two phases over the next decade

Facebook's data centre has been given the green light.

An Bord Pleanala has approved planning permission for Facebook's planned data centre in Clonee, Co Meath.

The €200m data centre will employ 115 people when it begins operating.

The development is expected to take ten years, with further employment during the construction phases.
