Explosion in Donegal an ‘unspeakable tragedy’ – Taoiseach

Ten people were found dead and many injured in explosion at filling station and apartment block in Creeslough, following a search and rescue operation by a multi-agency response team

Taoiseach Micheál Martin has described the explosion in Creeslough, Co Donegal, which killed ten people and injured several more, as an “unspeakable tragedy”.

Martin said it was “difficult to comprehend” how the blast, which took place at an Applegreen service station on Friday afternoon, could have happened as people went about their daily lives.
