Expert view: Energy users in line for ‘another big price cut’ this year

Daragh Cassidy says the capacity will soon be there for energy providers to lower prices further, but prices are still way above 2020 levels

Consumers can expect another energy price cut of between 10 per cent to 20 per cent this September or October, a leading consumer expert has said.

Daragh Cassidy, the head of communications at Bonkers.ie, the price comparison website, said further cuts were coming down the line for consumers on top of the latest raft of cuts announced today.
