An “artificial corporate wonderland” which has kept unviable firms alive following the pandemic is coming to an end, and businesses will soon fail in greater numbers, a leading restructuring expert has warned.

The number of corporate insolvencies and restructurings has begun to pick up in recent months following a period of exceptionally low business failures resulting from the extensive state supports provided to companies during the pandemic.
