Kevin Bakhurst, the director general of RTÉ, has told staff that an exit package for the broadcaster's former chief financial officer Breda O'Keeffe was not brought before the broadcaster's executive board.
The revelation, which has come to light following reports from RTÉ, comes as the broadcaster is set to publish an independent review of of its voluntary exit package scheme shortly.
