Country’s oldest university has admitted that lack of policy for professional staff promotions ‘continues to be a source of discontent’ among workers
Trinity College Dublin is facing the threat of industrial action from thousands of staff over restrictions on promotions, the Business Post can reveal.
Professional workers at the university – meaning non-academic staff – have not been able to obtain regular promotions within their roles since 2016, when Trinity’s board decided to terminate a practice it had previously operated since the 1980s.
