The offshore wind industry is going through a “special moment” as demand continues to outstrip supply by a considerable margin, a senior executive at one of the world’s largest renewable energy companies has said.

Duncan Clark, senior vice-president and head of Britain and Ireland for Orsted, the Danish energy giant, said there was intense competition in international markets right now to secure commitments from the offshore wind supply chain.
