Emerald pilots suspend planned strike as tensions rise over union recognition
Move comes amid ongoing dispute over what union says is Emerald’s failure to engage on collective labour agreement
Pilots at Emerald Airlines rowed back on a planned bank holiday strike after the company said it would not engage in talks to resolve an ongoing dispute unless they withdrew their threat of industrial action.
The Irish Air Line Pilots’ Association (Ialpa), which is part of the Fórsa trade union, yesterday agreed to pause its strike pending talks with the airline tomorrow.
