Local representatives and Dublin City Council officials are set for a stand-off next week over a proposed deal with Johnny Ronan for the redevelopment of the former Irish Glass Bottle site at Poolbeg.

After reports in the Business Post of a deal being finalised between a Ronan-led consortium, Dublin City Council and the Department of Housing, local councillors have expressed alarm at the proposal and have called for an emergency debate at Monday’s monthly meeting.
