Elected reps and council officials set for stand-off over ‘outrageous’ Johnny Ronan deal
Local reps claim there is no guarantee affordable homes would be built across the entire Poolbeg development if the deal goes through
Local representatives and Dublin City Council officials are set for a stand-off next week over a proposed deal with Johnny Ronan for the redevelopment of the former Irish Glass Bottle site at Poolbeg.
After reports in the Business Post of a deal being finalised between a Ronan-led consortium, Dublin City Council and the Department of Housing, local councillors have expressed alarm at the proposal and have called for an emergency debate at Monday’s monthly meeting.
