ECB holds interest rates at 4% high
Bank’s governing council said that interest rates are currently at levels that, if maintained for a sufficiently long duration, will make substantial lower inflation
The European Central Bank has left interest rates unchanged.
The ECB paused its marathon stream of interest rate increases in September after ten hikes since the middle of 2022, with Central Banks worldwide are coming under increasing pressure to reduce interest rates amid fears of a global economic slowing.
