ECB deposit rate to ‘hit 2.25 per cent by late 2025’

The European Central Bank is expected to start a slow but steady series of rate cuts from summer onwards as inflation eases

The European Central Bank will begin cutting interest rates from June onwards, according to a new survey of economists.

Respondents to the Bloomberg survey said forecast a slow but steady pace of rate cuts over the remainder of the year.
