Work on 99-bed acute hospital in Tullamore, first planned in 2007, is to finally begin later this year
A midlands-based development firm will commence work on a new €80 million private hospital later this year as part of its plans to develop a “world class” medical campus in Tullamore, Co Offaly.
The Wellwood Health campus, which will be located on a 20-acre site just off the N52 bypass, will comprise a four-storey, acute hospital with capacity for 99 in-patient beds, six operating theatres, endoscopy suites and a full range of diagnostic supports.
