Dún Laoghaire–Rathdown County Council has been warned for a sixth year running that staff are approving their own requests for overtime and being paid for “inaccurately computed claims”.

A review of the council’s finances in 2022 by the Local Government Audit Service said many of the same issues have been identified in its system that allows staff claim overtime pay.
