Dublin software firm Emydex acquired by German-based Baader

The business, which develops food processing software, has sold a majority stake

Emydex, a Dublin-based food technology business, has sold a majority stake to Baader, a German giant in the sector.

Founded in 2004, Emydex has 60 staff and develops software for the food processing industry. The value of the deal was not disclosed.

Baader, which has 1,600 staff across its operations, develops machinery for the food sector and has over 30 subsidiaries across Europe, the US, China, South America, Africa and Asia.
