Dublin Port plans new bridge running across the River Liffey

The structure is expected to take heavy goods vehicles off the local roads in the area, such as the Eastlink bridge

Dublin Port plans to build a new 2km road built over the sea of the south of the River Liffey as part of its plans to develop the Poolbeg peninsula.

The company today commenced formal public consultation on its 3FM Project, its plan to bring capacity at Dublin Port to its ultimate and final capacity by 2040.

The project will focus on lands on the Poolbeg Peninsula, on the south side of Dublin bay.
