Dublin-headquartered Icon plc reports double-digit third quarter profit growth

The contract research giant, led by chief executive Steve Cutler, is now valued at more than $18.5 billion

Icon plc, the Dublin-headquartered contract research giant, has reported double-digit profit growth for the third quarter of the year as it continues to win new business from the pharmaceutical industry.

The company, which is listed on the US stock market, posted a 14 per cent increase in adjusted earnings (Ebitda) for the third quarter of the year to just under $433 million, as margins expanded to a very strong 21 per cent.
