Accenture confirms plan to cut 400 staff in Ireland

The multinational is laying off staff after lowering its annual revenue and profit forecasts

Accenture, the consulting firm, is cutting 400 of its Irish staff as part of a major cost-cutting initiative.

The move is part of the company’s plan to layoff 19,000 of its employees worldwide over the next 18 months. This equates to about 2.5 per cent of its global workforce of over 700,000 people.
