Dublin economic growth slowed in Q4 in ‘disappointing conclusion’ to 2023

Expansion slowed to the lowest level of 2023 in the final quarter - which saw unprecedented disruption to enterprise in the Dublin riots

Economic growth in Dublin slowed to an annual lull in the fourth quarter of last year, new figures have shown.

The S&P Global Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI), published by the four local authorities in the capital, slowed to 51.9 in the last quarter - above the crucial 50.0 no-change mark and signifying moderate growth. However, this reading was the lowest recorded for the entire year, down from 53.5 in the third quarter.
