Ireland is right to challenge Israel’s actions in Gaza despite EU disunity and US inaction, a senior UN official has said.

Francesca Albanese, the UN’s special rapporteur on human rights in the occupied Palestinian territories, has called on the EU and international community to impose arms and oil embargoes and sanctions on the Israeli government to ensure it complies with international law.
