The state’s construction regulator contacted Dermot Bannon, the architect and TV personality, and said that some episodes of his RTÉ show Room to Improve appeared to place more emphasis on entertainment than on compliance with regulations.
Correspondence seen by the Business Post shows that the National Building Control and Market Surveillance Office (NBCO) contacted Bannon and the Department of Housing about RTÉ’s housing programmes.
