Ireland has the potential to become a “global leader” in the healthcare sector, Denis O’Brien has said.

The serial entrepreneur, who made headlines this week after agreeing to sell the Beacon Hospital to Macquarie, the Australian asset management firm, in one of the largest deals so far this year, compared the opportunities in the Irish healthcare sector to those previously found in the aviation leasing sector.
