Demand for new-build homes increases by ‘staggering’ levels, according to Daft report

An analysis by Daft finds that enquiries for homes across all price ranges grew substantially over the past 12 months

Daft, the property listings website, has recorded a sharp increase in demand from potential homebuyers.

Enquiries for listings on Daft’s website were up 17 per cent in May compared to this time last year. There was a "staggering“ increase in enquiries for new-build homes, with demand up 114 per cent nationally.

Enquiries for homes in the €400,000 to €500,000 range were up 1783 per cent, according to Daft’s analysis.
