Demand for cyber security staff trebled since 2019

The cyber security sector in Ireland needs an additional 1,000 workers annually, according to a new report.

The report - launched at Cinc23, the annual conference of Cyber Ireland - found that there were 6,707 unique job postings for cyber security professionals in Ireland in 2022, treble the demand of 2019. It estimated that, by 2030, the sector could employ 17,000 people in Ireland.
