David Miliband, a former British foreign secretary, has called for a "reboot" of UK-EU relations on foreign policy in a speech at the Irish Embassy.

Criticising the "self-harm" inflicted by the "folly" of Brexit, the former Labour politician used the Trinity College Henry Grattan annual lecture to pitch his vision for closer foreign policy ties between Brussels and London in an increasingly unstable world.
