Data centre power consumption up 31% year on year
The data published by the Central Statistics Office (CSO) also showed a 400 per cent increase between 2015 and 2022
The electricity consumed by Irish data centres rose by 31 per cent year on year between 2021 and 2022, according to a report published by the CSO on Monday.
The report also found that consumption rose by 400 per cent when the period of January to March 2015 was compared to the three months from October to December 2022.
