Crypto exchange Kraken gets Central Bank approval

Ireland now has more registered crypto firms per adult head of population than the UK

San Fransisco-headquartered crypto company Kraken has been registered as a virtual asset service provider by the financial regulator

Kraken, the cryptocurrency exchange that was recently hit with a $30 million fine in the US, has been approved by the Central Bank of Ireland to provide services here.

Approval means that Ireland now has more registered crypto firms per adult head of population than the UK, with the prospect of many more to come.
