The government’s Covid-19 advisory group is to be scaled back over the coming weeks following the ending of the coronavirus pandemic as a global health emergency.

The group, which was set up last April to replace the National Public Health Emergency Team (Nphet), has only met once this year, and it is understood no further meetings of the group have been scheduled.
