The government needs to “get on” and make a decision around the future funding of RTÉ as the coalition stands divided on how to reform Ireland’s outdated TV licence fee, Simon Coveney has said.

The Fine Gael enterprise minister has called for “open debate” within government on the future of funding public service broadcasting as the Green Party and Fianna Fáil are at odds over the issue.
