Equinix operates data centres in the capital at Northwest Business Park, Citywest, Blanchardstown and Kilcarbery Park

South Dublin County Council has refused to grant planning permission to US firm Equinix to construct a gas-powered data centre.

Equinix, a data centre multinational, submitted planning permission in place to construct an electricity-powered data centre at Profile Park in Clondalkin, Dublin 22, but did not receive a commercial or technical offer to supply permanent power to the site.
