Cork fisheries business fined for lack of pest control in producing seafood

A Cork fisheries business has been fined €2,000 after pleading guilty to failing to ensure pest control in processing seafood.

The Sea-Fisheries Protection Authority (SFPA) said today that it had successfully prosecuted Castletownbere Fishermen’s Co-op Society Ltd over food safety offences arising from an investigation carried out in October 2021.
