Cork Airport warns of traffic disruptions as farmers protest ‘hypocrisy in policy’

Roughly 60 tractors are expected to take part in a demonstration beginning at the airport and ending at city hall

Cork airport is warning commuters, staff and holidaymakers to prepare for disruption on the approach roads to the aerodrome on Monday morning as farmers form a convoy with their tractors in protest of “over regulation” of the industry.

From 7.15am, separate groups of farmers are due to assemble at Little Island and near Cork Airport before travelling to the city to demonstrate at a meeting of Cork County Council.
