Commercial property vacancy in Ireland hits ten-year high

At the end of last year there were almost 30,000 empty commercial units across the country

Vacancy in the commercial property sector reached a ten-year high at the end of last year, with 29,581 units in Ireland classified as empty, a new report has shown.

Research published by GeoDirectory, the data intelligence unit of An Post, has said that 14 per cent of commercial property in Ireland was vacant in the final quarter of 2022, up 0.1 per cent on the previous year.
