Comer brothers invest €12 million in Waterford Airport as part of group
The airport first opened in 1981 and has been planning a runway extension to service larger aircraft
Waterford Airport has received €12 million in private investment by the Comer Group, in partnership with the Bolster Group, to develop the runway extension at the airport.
The runway extension will mean the airport can service mid-range and larger aircraft.
The development now clears the way for the business plan seeking matching funding to be submitted to the Department of Transport, which is expected to be sent early next week, according to John Cummins, the ...
