The cost of shutting its Irish operations will cost GameStop €13 million, the firm has estimated.

In March, video game retailer, GameStop announced the shut-down of its 35 “bricks and mortar” store network and online presence in Ireland, resulting in the loss of 224 jobs.

The retailer announced it would no longer sell gift cards, trade or purchase used consoles or allow customers to pre-order products, while GameStop officially closed its Irish doors on June 24.
