Citi to expand commercial banking operation in Ireland

Bank hopes to expand services to broader range of mid-size businesses to assist in international growth

Citi Bank, the multinational investment bank, has announced plans to expand its commercial operations in Ireland.

The expansion will see the bank expand its focus on the mid-sized tech sector to assist mid-size businesses in the manufacturing, pharmaceutical, life sciences, professional services and healthcare sector in “growing and scaling internationally”.

The plans have already resulted in the appointment of the first ever head of commercial in Ireland.
