Working group to choose between three ways to future proof quality assurance programme after spate of litigation
Audits of the CervicalCheck programme will not restart until recommendations are made on the future legal framework for screening in Ireland, the HSE has said.
Programmatic audits of CervicalCheck have been paused since 2018, when concerns over how the findings of a previous audit were disclosed to women who had developed cancer resulted in major political controversy and a wave of litigation that is continuing to this day.
