Central Bank hopes to increase private funding through package of reforms

The Central Bank of Ireland (CBI) is keen to drive more private finance into the market and is looking at a package of regulatory and policy reforms to achieve its goal.

Speaking at an Irish Funds event in the UK last week, Derville Rowland, the deputy governor of the bank, said “clearly, more needs to be done to stimulate European capital markets,” which are not taking their share of a growing private assets market.
