Campaigners have said they are “extremely concerned” about proposals to introduce criminal sanctions for Irish people who do not comply with new laws to regulate international commercial surrogacy.

The Business Post reported on Wednesday that Irish people who choose to use Ukraine as a surrogacy destination despite the country being at war will face criminal sanction under a new law being drafted by the government.
