Cabinet agrees welfare cuts for newly-arrived Ukrainian refugees and 90-day state accommodation limit

Arrivals will be paid €38.80 subsistence allowance and an additional €29.80 per child per week

The government has agreed changes to supports for new arrivals from Ukraine which will come into effect at the end of January.

Under the changes, a new 90-day limit for state accommodation for people arriving from Ukraine will be imposed.

During the 90-day period, arrivals will be paid €38.80 subsistence allowance and an additional €29.80 per child per week.
