Bord Gáis joins Macquarie in offshore wind farm venture
Documents filed show that Bord Gáis owns 30 per cent of Young Energy Holding, a new company controlled by Macquarie’s wind energy arm
Bord Gáis Energy is partnering with Macquarie Asset Management, the Australian investment giant, to develop offshore wind farms around Ireland.
The energy provider, part of Centrica, has formed a new energy company alongside Corio Generation, Macquarie’s offshore wind developer arm.
In a statement, Corio confirmed that the partnership was in “very early stages”, and that no decisions had been taken regarding specific projects.
