Bord Gáis Energy reports half year losses of €30 million

The privately owned energy company said the losses reflected “continuing pricing pressure” in the Irish retail energy supply market

Bord Gáis Energy, the privately-owned energy company, recorded an operating loss of €30 million (£27 million) for the first six months of the year – a significant turnaround on the €40 million (£33 million) operating profit it made in the same period last year.
