Bord Bia is hosting 14 meat and dairy Irish businesses on the department of agriculture, food and marine’s trade mission to China, which is being led by Minister Charlie McConalogue. It is the first such mission to China since the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The focus of the trade mission, which began on Monday, will be on raising the profile of Irish food and drinks in the Asian nation which has the second largest population of any country. The trade mission follows Bord Bia’s announcing moves last month to increase the popularity of smaller cream liqueur brands in China.
