Boeing’s growth plans halted as FAA freezes production increases

Aircraft demand has been at record levels as airlines clamour for new models

US aviation giant Boeing is facing a setback after the FAA halted the company’s planned increases in production of the 737 Max aeroplane.

The FAA is the Federal Aviation Administration in the United States.

The decision by the FAA comes at time of global shortages in supplies of aircraft.
