BetDex Exchange, a British blockchain-based betting exchange, has received a licence to operate online betting services in Ireland.

The licence provides the UK business with its first licence to operate in the European Union (EU), having become the first blockchain-built betting exchange to receive a licence from the Isle of Man last year.

The licence approval comes shortly after the ESRI reported that the level of problem gambling in the state is likely under reported.
