Bernard Gloster refutes HSE ‘a bunch of wasters’ with public money

Health service boss concedes better structures are needed to oversee spending

Bernard Gloster has rejected the idea that the HSE are “a complete bunch of wasters with public money” amid criticism of cost control measures within the health service.

Addressing the Oireachtas health committee on Tuesday, Gloster conceded that better structures were needed to oversee spending, but insisted that the HSE has “very good plans” to deal with this.
