Bank of Ireland raises €750m for green projects in third green bond this year

Bank aims to increase it sustainability-related lending from €8 billion in 2020 to €30 billion by 2030

Bank of Ireland has issued its third green bond of the year raising, €750 million to fund renewable energy, clean transportation and green building projects.

The bond was issued at a coupon, or an annual interest rate, of 4.702 per cent and matures in November 2029.

The new issuance, which received demand worth €3.2 billion, will bring the bank’s total green bond fundraising to €4.75 billion, with €2.25 billion made this year.
