The government’s hydrogen strategy was initially due to be published in 2021. Two years later, it has finally arrived.

It is not short on ambition, providing a blueprint for how green hydrogen can be produced through excess renewable energy, and then transported and deployed most efficiently in key sectors across the Irish economy out to 2050.
